The Chiang Mai Flower Festival 2023 is back and will be held from 3-5 February in the north of Thailand. The event is also the 46th time being held at Nong Buak Hard Public Park, and after two years of Covid lockdowns, many are excited about it.
Chiang Mai Flower Festival 2023
This year comes with the theme of Lanna charm and Wiang Ping blooms, where visitors can see the beauty of the various flowers decorated within the event’s surroundings. And if you should also know, the festival’s first day involves an agricultural fair and the exhibition of floral arrangements and landscaping trends.
Subsequent days involve an elaborate display of splendid flower floats, a fair that showcases local works of art, music shows, and beautiful ornamental plants.
On the Saturday of the festival, there is a large parade that typically takes place from Nawarat bridge to Thapae road, Kotchasarn Road, Changlor Road and then to Arak Road (Nong Buak Haad Public Park).
There will be large floats adorned with flowers and marching bands, school groups, and dancers also taking part. The roads will close leading up to and during the parade, but there are generally police directing traffic away from the festival.
There are competitions for the most beautiful and creative display and the best float. One of the most popular parts of the festival is choosing the Chiang Mai Flower Festival Queen, which many locals look forward to this amazing moment.
