Borneo Flora Festival 2025
Prepare for a spectacular celebration of nature, colour, and culture as Labuan gears up to host the Borneo Flora Festival (BFF) 2025 from July 26 to 30. This vibrant five-day event will attract over 50,000 local and international visitors to the picturesque duty-free island known for its serene beaches and rich biodiversity.
A Festival Inspired by Nature and Creativity
Inspired by the iconic Floria Putrajaya, BFF 2025 is more than just a flower show—it’s an immersive floral experience that will establish Labuan as a top eco-tourism destination in Borneo.
Organised by the Department of Federal Territories, Labuan Corporation, and Putrajaya Corporation, this year’s festival also brings in a vast network of government agencies and private stakeholders to ensure a world-class event.

What’s Blooming at BFF 2025?
Set against the scenic backdrop of the Labuan Sea Sports Recreational Park, the festival will showcase over 200,000 species of flora and fauna in a magical setting that invites exploration, appreciation, and plenty of Insta-worthy moments.
Among the 20 dazzling floral themes, you’ll find:
- Borneo Rainforest Gem
- Magical Park
- Night Light Park
- Underwater World
- Instagram Park
- Artistic Bazaar
- Duty Free Bazaar
- Luxury Oasis Camp
Each themed area promises a unique sensory journey, from enchanted garden vibes to cutting-edge light installations and artistic floral markets.

Building Up to the Big Day
The excitement has already begun! On May 3, a special promotional booth was launched at Labuan Airport, offering travellers a sneak peek into the beauty and buzz of BFF 2025.
Behind the scenes, over 1,200 passionate volunteers—including university students—have worked tirelessly to prepare the festival grounds. Their efforts include nurturing a seedling nursery and transplanting an impressive 200,000 flower seedlings at Tapak Semaian Pulau Buah.
A Festival with Heart and Purpose
Local artiste Farah Nadeera Zaini has been named the official ambassador of BFF 2025, adding star power to the event. Her involvement is expected to help draw even more attention to this national-scale celebration of flora, culture, and community.
A Boost for Labuan’s Economy
According to Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories), the festival isn’t just about flowers—it’s a key driver in the government’s efforts to revitalise Labuan’s economy, especially for hoteliers, eateries, local vendors, and small businesses. She highlighted Labuan’s potential in tourism and sectors like finance and oil & gas, making BFF 2025 a springboard for broader economic transformation.
Looking Ahead: Labuan’s Flourishing Future
Under the Madani Government, Labuan is undergoing strategic transformation programmes to boost the economy and tourism sector. BFF 2025 is one of many steps toward unlocking the island’s full potential as a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable destination.
